Making a GOOD decision: Goals, Options, Opinion, Document.
The GOOD acronym provides a construct for communicating with patients and others involved in making such difficult decisions. GOOD decision making for such problems is a cooperative venture that involves input from patients, families, and health care providers.I like this one better because it makes clearer sense and its more simple.
EXAMPLE PROBLEMA example problem would be making a decision of what college you want to go to.
GOALS-You would first think about G for Goals. You have to think of what your goals are in life and what you want to do.
OPTIONS-The second letter is O for Options. You have to look at the different colleges and you need to analyze your options.
OPINION-The third letter is O which stands for Opinion. You need to make an opinion of what college you want to attend and the best one that would suit you.
DOCUMENT-The last letter D stands for Document. It means that you should write down the different colleges and compare prices, and what they have to offer.
Using the GOOD acronym will help you make good decisions in life.
